Izzy's 1-year doctor appointment

Izzy had her 1-year appointment today, and I'm happy to report that she's healthy as a horse.

Her stats:
19 lbs 6 oz (25th percentile)
28 3/4 inches long (almost 50th percentile)

She was a very good patient today! Goodness...she just woke up happy. And she was happy all day a daycare. These are the days that I sooo wish I could stay at home with her, but then again, maybe she wouldn't be so happy then :)

Anyway, she had a bunch of shots today and a finger prick, but luckily she won't have any more until pre-kindergarten (at least I think that's what they said). She cried a little, but luckily I had a fruit snack with me, so that made it allllll better.

Here she is with Joacim getting ready to have her height measured

Actually having her measurements taken

A little break

Now the weight

And now her heart

Not so happy about the ear check...probably residual from her ear infection

Thankfully we had her crocs. This is like candy for her...she LOVES her crocs, and absolutely MUST HAVE THEM ON IMMEDIATELY whenever she sees them. We used them to distract her :)

Here's a video of her before the doctor came in...she's sooo happy...(no idea what's happened to the thumbnail preview, but should still work when you click play)

Now for the doctor..yes, he's wearing a funny hat (and he almost always does this) and the kids love it. Izzy, of course, is suspicious...

Not quite sure yet, but she's starting to crack a smile..

You can't see it very well, but she did finally crack :)

And here she is getting her shots. Does this make me a bad mommy that I was taking photos of her while she's screaming in pain??? I don't think so...Pappa was there....besides, it's all part of the memories...

She also had to have her finger pricked for a hemoglobin test, and after it was done, it was still bleeding a lot, so they wrapped her up...

Hahaha!!! 2 posts in 1 week!!!

And do you know howwwwwww I did this? It's because little loppan was a cranky little monster this evening, so I decided to put her to bed early. And do you know what??? She went right to sleep...maybe I'm getting the hang of this...Before, I would've sat here on the sofa with her and done ANYTHING to get her to fall asleep in my arms. Funny to me that it was Joacim that pushed me to actually put her to bed while she was still awake...and he was right! That's right, ladies and gentlemen...I'm admitting that my husband was CORRECT!!! Now, that's enough of that nonsense...on to some photos!!!! :)

Before I post anything else, I gotta share this one. So, I woke up yesterday morning and looked at the video monitor by my bed, because Izzy had once again slept through the night, and I wanted to see if she was still asleep. And what I saw made me shoot out of bed and run into her room with my camera...
How funny is this??? And this is a BIG milestone for her...this is the first time that she's rolled over from her back to her tummy!!!!! Yippeeeee little Boo!!!!

Ok, do you remember when I posted that I got some new photo software, and that I've been playing around with it....and that I'd post some photos once I got to play a little? Well, here are some of those photos...

Here's a photo of little Izzyboo that I took earlier in the summer....

Ok, here's my yummy little chicken wreath from New Year's...it looked MUCH different in the original post...

These are some of my favorites from our trip to Trader's Point Creamery...

These are just cute...

Someone's CLEARLY not happy with the prospect of "tummy time"

but eventually she gets better..

and now she's all smiles...

These are some that I took the other night...

Can't decide which one I like more...this one?

Or this one??? What do you think?

These last few are kinda random. This one is Izzy wearing her new hat that she got in the basket she won at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center charity event that I mentioned in my last post

Izzy's been having a bit of dandruff lately...along with the eczema that we've been dealing with. This weather isn't so nice to little baby skin! Anyway, to combat this, I read that you can put baby oil on their scalp for 15 minutes, and then give her a bath...well, of course I had to have some fun with this....

Ok, that's about it for now. I've once again stayed up WAYYYY past my bedtime, and I'll wish I hadn't tomorrow morning, but it's so fun for me to post photos and tell little stories, so thanks for looking!

Also, I wanted to wish my friend, Jill, the BEST of luck this weekend. She recently started her own business making scrapbook paper, and it's really taking off! She's in California for a big show, and she's going international soon. Congrats to you, Jill!!!!!

All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth

Hi all! Just a quick post...Izzy has TEETH!!! I felt them when we were out to dinner tonight, and I saw both of them when we got home. This would explain some of the fussiness we've been experiencing, as well as the vast amounts of POOP
(hehehe!). She's actually been quite the trooper, considering some of the horror stories I've heard of teething...could have something to do with all of the attention she's getting from her farfar and farmor (that's Grandpa and Grandma in Swedish) that are here visiting now.

Weirdly enough, a part of me is a little bit sad about this milestone. I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing her little gummy smile! Now I'll just love that gummy smile + 2 teeth! And whenever my little stinkpot cooperates, I'll show you all some pics of the new additions....:)

Video post

Man, I'm so behind...I swear that she'll do a gazillion new things before my next post too, so I'll always be behind. Guess I better just accept it and try to post as often as possible, huh?

Ok, this video is one we took when my parents were here. I told them that she was rolling over, and that as soon as I put her on her tummy, she'd roll right over. Joacim didn't believe me, so here's proof:

Here's little Izzy eating her cereal. This wasn't her first try, but it was the first time she actually seemed like she wanted to eat it.

And this is what she does if I let her play with her spoon:

This is Izzy on our way home from Ikea a couple of weeks ago. She was having a serious meltdown, which is why there's a water bottle in front of her face. She kept screaming, but was only relatively calm when I gave her this water bottle to suck on. And she's blowing bubbles out of her sheer frustration at being trapped in her carseat...needless to say, it was the longest 45 minutes of my life thus far...

And here she is having a nice little chat with her pappa after her bath...too cute!

Izzy's new trick

Yippee!!! She finally rolled over!!! I can't believe I forgot to post this last night, but better late than never, right?

The event occured when we were working on the closet yesterday. She had been playing on her activity mat for awhile, so I decided to put her on her belly for a little tummy time. Literally, as soon as I put her down, she rolled over! Sad thing is that I had the camera and the videocamera right next to me, but failed to capture it. And of course, I tried and tried and tried, but only ended up making her upset (which I've got a LOT of video of :) Hopefully I'll be able to show you all a video of it soon!
