Dec 28 - visit to Trader's Point

It seems as though we're making this an annual event!  For the past 3 years we've gone to Trader's Point Creamery between Christmas and New Year's.  The first year, Izzy was only 6 months old, and Joacim's parents were visiting.  Last year and this year it's just the 3 of us, but we have a great time.  And there's nothing better after hanging out in the cold with the cows than a bowl of their organic chili in The Loft restaurant.  AHHHHmazing.
But, before we could go to Trader's Point, we had to get ready. Izzy got a hair-styling set for Christmas and this was her first time to use it.
And then I was treated to a little jam session from my budding rock star
I LOVE taking photos of these cows...

These are the brand new babies..lying in the manger.

I don't think she had any idea how CLOSE this calf was to her head!

Look at the crazy horns on this one
When I said babies...I truly meant BABIES...I mean (and not be graphic or anything) but this mamma cow still had the afterbirth attached!

Ohhhhh....that yummy bowl of chili, and some coloring while we waited :)

Another visit to Trader's Point

It was Joacim's turn to take breakfast to work this past Friday, so last weekend we headed over to Trader's Point Creamery to get some cheese (LOVE that stuff!!!). Of course we had to go visit the calves!

OMG..these calves are sooo cute...

We decided to stay and have lunch in the Loft restaurant. They have some of THE BEST chili there, and I couldn't wait to get some! While we were waiting for our food, Joacim worked on Izzy's Swedish. She does really well identifying body parts in english, but sometimes forgets the Swedish words. This isn't too surprising since she's working on then in English at daycare, but I'd say she's still doing a great job!

We REALLY pushed her naptime on this day, and she passed out cold in the car on the way home.

Dinner on the Deck at Traders Point Creamery

Friday night we decided to do something a little different and go up to Traders Point Creamery for their Friday night "Dinner on the Deck". Traders Point is an organic dairy on the north-side of Indy that has AMAZING cheese, yogurt...you name it! For those that follow this blog, you may remember that we went up there over Christmas when Joacim's parents were here.

Anyway, they have this pre-set dinner every Friday during the summer, as well as an organic/all natural farmers market. We got there a little late, so we didn't get to enjoy the market, but hopefully I'll get back up there before it ends. Looked like some yummy stuff! We did, however, get to have dinner. This night - Brazilian beef kabobs. YUMMY!

After dinner we had to go visit the baby cows. Too cute!

We started out by giving the calves some straw...

But this little bugger got a little closer than I was expecting! Check out the look on my face! :)

I got a good laugh out of it....Izzy wasn't too sure about that blue tongue coming at her!

Love cow noses

I love cows...

And I love this barn. Isn't it gorgeous???

Here's Izzy discovering rocks again :(

And here we are on our way out...

She slept soundly on the way home...I even made it into the house with her and got her changed before she woke up! ARGH! I just decided to let her play for a bit. Here she is sliding around on the countertop (don't worry!!! totally supervised fun!) waiting for her bottle...

It was a good time. Can't wait to do it again!

Hahaha!!! 2 posts in 1 week!!!

And do you know howwwwwww I did this? It's because little loppan was a cranky little monster this evening, so I decided to put her to bed early. And do you know what??? She went right to sleep...maybe I'm getting the hang of this...Before, I would've sat here on the sofa with her and done ANYTHING to get her to fall asleep in my arms. Funny to me that it was Joacim that pushed me to actually put her to bed while she was still awake...and he was right! That's right, ladies and gentlemen...I'm admitting that my husband was CORRECT!!! Now, that's enough of that nonsense...on to some photos!!!! :)

Before I post anything else, I gotta share this one. So, I woke up yesterday morning and looked at the video monitor by my bed, because Izzy had once again slept through the night, and I wanted to see if she was still asleep. And what I saw made me shoot out of bed and run into her room with my camera...
How funny is this??? And this is a BIG milestone for her...this is the first time that she's rolled over from her back to her tummy!!!!! Yippeeeee little Boo!!!!

Ok, do you remember when I posted that I got some new photo software, and that I've been playing around with it....and that I'd post some photos once I got to play a little? Well, here are some of those photos...

Here's a photo of little Izzyboo that I took earlier in the summer....

Ok, here's my yummy little chicken wreath from New Year's...it looked MUCH different in the original post...

These are some of my favorites from our trip to Trader's Point Creamery...

These are just cute...

Someone's CLEARLY not happy with the prospect of "tummy time"

but eventually she gets better..

and now she's all smiles...

These are some that I took the other night...

Can't decide which one I like more...this one?

Or this one??? What do you think?

These last few are kinda random. This one is Izzy wearing her new hat that she got in the basket she won at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center charity event that I mentioned in my last post

Izzy's been having a bit of dandruff lately...along with the eczema that we've been dealing with. This weather isn't so nice to little baby skin! Anyway, to combat this, I read that you can put baby oil on their scalp for 15 minutes, and then give her a bath...well, of course I had to have some fun with this....

Ok, that's about it for now. I've once again stayed up WAYYYY past my bedtime, and I'll wish I hadn't tomorrow morning, but it's so fun for me to post photos and tell little stories, so thanks for looking!

Also, I wanted to wish my friend, Jill, the BEST of luck this weekend. She recently started her own business making scrapbook paper, and it's really taking off! She's in California for a big show, and she's going international soon. Congrats to you, Jill!!!!!
