THERE you are, spring!

I forgot how good it can feel when the sun's out and a warm wind is blowing.  Well, in this case, it was near hurricane-force, but I'll take it.

I was going to take my friend's new baby's photos, but I woke up feeling a cold coming on (and Joacim and Izzy were no better) so I thought it best to reschedule so as not to get the baby sick.  So instead, we did a little yardwork.  Very little, actually, but spent the most time just hanging out and swinging Izzy.  I can tell how much she's grown since last year, since it's a lot harder to push her in the swing now, and it just doesn't swing as freely as it used to.   But she loves it just as much as she did before, if not more :)

And here's one of the cutest dogs in the world.  No, seriously.  The.  Cutest.
Granted, this bone made her poop all strange today, but she seemed to enjoy it going in (just not so much coming out :)  I know..I know...TMI.  Sorry :)

Ahhhhhh....a few moments of peace

...and I'm totally not taking advantage of it. Instead, I'm sitting in front of my computer, catching up on my Google Reader feeds, buying music and subscribing to useless podcasts on iTunes, and Facebooking (it's actually a verb now, right? :)

Ok, maybe I AM taking advantage of it in my own little way.  Joacim took Izzy to the park a while ago, and I decided to stay home and revel in the silence.  It's been a trying few days, and I just need a teeny tiny little break.  Izzy's been sick...I've been sick, and basically not much has happened.  Izzy seems to be better...I got my dosage of cyclosporine lowered (which we think it's what's causing my general malaise and freakin' HEADACHES), so hopefully we're all on the mend now.  But I need to catch up!

Let's see....last time I blogged was April 7th....that would've been a Wednesday, I think.  Ok, I'm smart enough to check first....yes, that was last Wednesday.  Okay, what have we done since then?  Well, we've had some milk (yes, STILL drinking out of the bottle, but this is STILL the only way to get her to drink milk at home).

I never want to forget how cute her little Flinstone feet are....
Absolutely edible to me :)
And then we fed some birdies in the backyard

We (I mean she) whined....a lot. (and to be honest, I don't even remember what she kept saying "no" to)

And got up WAYYYYYYY too early for my liking and needed to be entertained...

And got a good workout in too!

Wow...guess she's been pretty busy :)

While Pappa's away the girls will play

Thank goodness for good weather!!!!  It puts her in SUCH  a better mood when we can go outside and play when we get home from work/daycare.  Look at the smile on her face!
She likes to play this little game where she takes these little balls and rolls them off the patio, then walks around to get them, brings them back and does it all over again.  I keep wondering if we should get her more toys to play with outside, but seeing this, I guess it's not really necessary.  Luckily, she's easily entertained outside
Yesterday, we were able to get her tricycle out and take it for a spin

And at night, once she had her bath and was settling down, she read me a story
And of course, there's the reading of the book

An old friend for Murphy and some backyard playtime

Most of you know that Murphy has been on a very restrictive regimine these past 8 months...NO TREATS AND NO TOYS. Yeah, for a dog that lives and dies by playing, this has been especially hard to watch. He's been so darn mopy lately, and we just couldn't take it anymore, so we broke down and gave him back his old friend, The Wubba! Okay, he only had 2 more days to go anyway, so I don't feel TOO guilty...especially after capturing the look of sheer joy!

Look at that focus....

Here's my feet....because they're pretty and it's nice that they don't have to have socks on them!

She looks like such a ragamuffin! This is how her hair looks after a bath...

And more from the happiest dog...

Our newest home improvement project

We wanted some shade over our patio the summer since it faces the southwest and is boiled by the sun. And it turned out BEAUTIFULLY...check it out:

Backyard playtime

Ahhh.....FINALLY decent weather on the weekend!!!! Feels like it's been forever, so we made sure to take advantage of it. After I got back from work on Saturday (yes, work...don't ask) we decided to hang out outside in the backyard so that Murphy could get in some good playtime.

Here's a cute couple of shots of the lovely benefactor:

We had been throwing Frisbees to Murphy, and Izzy LOVED playing with them. And here's where it got really fun...she started STANDING again! She had started standing up a couple of months ago, but then it kinda trailed off, but all of a sudden this weekend she was like a crazy lady..standing up all the time, in the middle of the floor with nothing to hold on to. Better yet, she was doing a great job balancing and holding things in her hands and shaking them, so it looks like she's getting ready to be even MORE mobile soon...

Here she is eyeing the frisbees....

And up on all 4's....

Yay!!! Such a big girl for standing up!!!!

She's so proud of herself, and so are we!

And then she fell down and was none too happy about her position.

Here's Joacim trying to get her to roll over...a skill she has decided she has no need to learn :)

Up again

Pappa being silly with the frisbee and Izzy completely entertained!

Here she is trying to throw the frisbee to Murphy. This is really cute to watch..

She was too busy to realize that she was standing barefoot in the grass
