Our weekend with Emily and Will

I'm fairly certain that Emily's going to give me hell for not getting this out yesterday like I said I would, but a certain adorable 3 year old wanted to "nuggle" last night..now seriously..how could I turn that down?  Ok, here goes with another ridiculously long post full of photos and videos :).  Grab a drink, put your feet up and enjoy!

So, last weekend we all (and by all I mean Joacim, Izzy, Murphy, Rosie and I) went up to our friend Emily's place up on Lake Freeman.  We've got a LOT of things coming up in the next month (more info on THAT little nugget in the future) so we needed a weekend to get away.  The weather was perfect for a weekend at the lake..plus I needed to get my baby Will fix!

Little baby Will is a teething, slobbering adorable little baby!
I'm glad that Joacim is completely comfortable making himself right at home.  That says A LOT!
After lunch and naps and before the incoming rain, we went for a little boat ride.
Can I just tell you how much Izzy loved to steer the boat? (don't even ask me about his ridiculous hat, though..it's a point of contention between us :)

Look at that cute little guy peeking out....(heart melting)
Is this what I have to look forward to in 13 years?  Izzy driving along, on the phone, not paying any attention?  (actually, that's not a phone but rather a rattle of Will's that she bogarted)

Izzy also loves Emily!  She's always asking when we get to go see Emily...THIS makes me very happy ;)
I got a little lovin' too ;)
And Emily, being the tooth-crazed dental hygienist that she is, volunteered to brush Izzy's teeth (btw...look at the look on Emily's face...HAAHAAAHAAAA)
While Emily was taking care of my kiddo, I was taking care of hers.  Had to get a little self-portrait in.
Here's Emily's dog, Lucy.  I was really worried that all of the hounds wouldn't get along, and even though we had a couple of "incidents" it went MUCH better than expected.  I just think Lucy felt the need to patrol the other two :)
To wrap up the day, Emily made a fantastic dinner, and I got REALLY drunk.  No, I mean REALLY drunk...sadly, that only means 4 or 5 glasses of wine...ahhhhh....sucks getting old.  Lucky, Emily must've predicted this because she brought me coffee to wake me up, which was the ONLY reason I wanted to get out of bed that morning.  It was the kind of hangover that doesn't have a headache (thankfully) but you've got the shakes and are teetering on the verge of nausea ALL FREAKIN' DAY.  Yep, it was awesome.

Luckily, there were several distractions to make it better than it could've been, such as feeding rice cereal to a cute baby.

And then we moved on to bananas..I forgot how much fun this was!

And then it was back to the boat.  It was a BEEE-UTIFUL day...sunny, warm...and the lake wasn't too busy.
Emily's Dad and Grandma came out to join us on a ride later in the afternoon too
And my new favorite photo :)

We had a fantastic time that weekend! Joacim's convinced we need to live in an RV and have a lake place...I'm thinkin' that might be a tiny bit crazy :). So, Emily...when can we come up again?

THERE you are, spring!

I forgot how good it can feel when the sun's out and a warm wind is blowing.  Well, in this case, it was near hurricane-force, but I'll take it.

I was going to take my friend's new baby's photos, but I woke up feeling a cold coming on (and Joacim and Izzy were no better) so I thought it best to reschedule so as not to get the baby sick.  So instead, we did a little yardwork.  Very little, actually, but spent the most time just hanging out and swinging Izzy.  I can tell how much she's grown since last year, since it's a lot harder to push her in the swing now, and it just doesn't swing as freely as it used to.   But she loves it just as much as she did before, if not more :)

And here's one of the cutest dogs in the world.  No, seriously.  The.  Cutest.
Granted, this bone made her poop all strange today, but she seemed to enjoy it going in (just not so much coming out :)  I know..I know...TMI.  Sorry :)

A nice relaxing weekend (that would be the previous weekend, though, since I'm still behind :)

Bubbles bubbles bubbles....we go through a bottle a day.  Anybody wanna contribute to the Izzy bubble fund?

Joacim wanted to take this photo because she was so intent on my corn on the cob....just wish I could've
gotten a photo of her actually eating!!!
It was about time for a bath photo...haven't had one lately
Ok, so she's been sleeping in our bed again (and I don't need to hear any grief about this...I've decided that it's just not worth the fight at 3:30am :).  OMG..but look how CUTE she is in the morning!

Hey, guess what, the dogs like bubbles too!
She was getting pretty good at this one!  Unfortunately, Rosie got a hold of it and essentialy rendered it unusable.

Lots and lots of play.....

And THIS is what she looks like after she's told "No".  She is an excellent on-the-spot crier :)  Good skill to have for the future, one might say :)
