While Pappa's away the girls will play
Thank goodness for good weather!!!! It puts her in SUCH a better mood when we can go outside and play when we get home from work/daycare. Look at the smile on her face!
She likes to play this little game where she takes these little balls and rolls them off the patio, then walks around to get them, brings them back and does it all over again. I keep wondering if we should get her more toys to play with outside, but seeing this, I guess it's not really necessary. Luckily, she's easily entertained outside
Yesterday, we were able to get her tricycle out and take it for a spin
And at night, once she had her bath and was settling down, she read me a story
And of course, there's the reading of the book

More snow from last week
We had more snow last week, and I worked from home because, as I mentioned before, I don't feel like taking my life in my hands by driving with all of the other crazies. Soooo...Izzy and I stayed home. Now granted, I didn't get a whole lot of work done while she was awake, which isn't too surprising, but I managed to get some done. I took the next day off due to my kidney thing, but ended up working the entire day anyway, so I figure it all balanced itself out. Besides, Izzy's had this profuse drainage from her ears for the past week and a half, so I figure any day she's not at daycare is a day for her to heal a little more.
Can you see how the drainage has matted her hair?

but she doesn't seem to mind much..still a happy girl

We watched Ice Age

and read A LOT of books

and had some fruit puree

and some ravioli (her she's telling me that she's getting a little low on the ravioli and that I need to get more)

Since we have all of this snow, we decided to take her out on her new sled that we got her. We pretty much figured that it wasn't goint to go too well, since we know she's not a huge fan of snow

We got a few small smiles out of her, but they were short-lived

And I am no longer her favorite person
Murphy likes the snow WAYYYY more than Izzy does...

Sanity visit from my friend Missie
My friend Missie came over last Thursday bringing Thai Spice, and I couldn't have been more grateful. It gave me a chance to sit down, have some good food and conversation, and not worry about "chores". I feel like I've been running like an 8-day clock since Joacim left, and this was a great night to sit down and hang out, so THANK YOU MISSIE!!!
And of course, there are photos (when do I NOT have a camera in my hand anymore???)
It always seems to take Izzy a bit to warm up, but if you offer to read her a book, then she will be your bestest buddy! This girl LOVES books...hope this is something she keeps with her for life!
