Forgot about these
I completely forgot about these videos that I had uploaded last week, so I wanted to share them tonight :)
Here she is kicking the ball and being silly...
Here are the dogs playing tug with the wubba. It's funny to see how sneaky Rosie is about taking the wubba, but also how she's finally holder her own against Murphy. I have to say that it's not easy to hold onto the wubba when Murphy's thrashing around like that!
And here's a little conversation Izzy and I were having in the backyard the other day. Totally random.
There's really no rhyme or reason to these videos...I just looked back at last month and realized how few videos that I had taken, so I've got some catching up to do.

Izzy's first sleepover :)
Izzy had her first official sleepover 2 weeks ago, and (gasp!!!) it was with a boy! Haahaahaa...just kiddin'...well, not really, I mean Cristian IS a boy...oh heck, just look at the photos and videos. These two are so cute separately, so imagine the cuteness when they're together!!! Almost. Unbearable.
This was a particularly busy weekend. Cristian's mami was enjoying a much-deserved girls night out, so we were lucky enough to get to watch Cristian. Joacim's friend, Magnus, was visiting from Sweden on business, but came down and stayed with us Saturday night, AND I was photographing the Riley Cancer Survivor's celebration Saturday afternoon. I can tell you that, by Sunday night, Joacim and I could barely speak from being so wiped out!
Time for treats! And that includes the doggies!
And the little guy was kind enough to mow our yard for us :)

A lovely "family" breakfast
I took the kids to the park while Joacim and Magnus visited the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Sadly, Magnus had to leave, but he got some little hugs before he went.

Izzy absolutely loves Seyfert's BBQ chips (and so does Cristian now :)
She took the bag, but was kind enough to share with him :)

But how priceless is this face when he saw his Mami????
Looks like a pretty happy reunion, wouldn't you say?

Trip to Bouncertown!
We've been thinking about getting either a trampoline or a bounce house for Izzy, but since we weren't sure if she'd actually play in it, we decided to take her to Bouncertown first to see if she like it.
Initially, not so much :)
But then we went to the toddler bouncer
It took her a while to warm up to the idea
and let go of the sides :)
after that confidence boost, it was back to the big bouncy
and back to the little one
and on to ANOTHER one...it took awhile, but she finally made it up the steps and down the slide
This was the biggest one there, and she tried, bless her little heart, but got spooked when the bigger kids would rush past/over her. I think if she would've had the entire thing to herself tha she would've done it. Maybe next time, kiddo ;)

Latest addition to the Trunk Family
Yes, we've got a new member of the family. A little bit spontaneous on our part, but we've been talking about it for awhile off and on. We went to the Humane Society today and picked up a little cutie named Cracklin' Rosie! The Humane Society has been posting quite a bit on Facebook about how dire their situation is...too many animals, not enough money, not enough donations. Heartbreaking. So I've been checking out the dogs available for adoption lately, and Rosie showed up Wednesday evening on their website. Joacim and I talked about it quite a bit, and decided to go check her out. After watching her and Murphy play together, we figured she was about the best fit for the family...
Yes, fast friends...no signs of agression in either one of them, and Rosie knew where to hide when she was tired. I really hope this is gong to be a good fit. Right now, they're STILL playing, and it's 11:47pm when I'm writing this. They've been going at it since 7:00pm :)
The patch on her side is from a laceration she had that was infected, so they had to do some surgery on her to clean it up and sew her back together. They think that she got caught on a fence or something (HORRIBLE!!!). The owner was elderly and apparently unable to care for the dog, so apparently a neighbor convinced the owner to surrender Rosie, which is how she ended up at the Humane Society. She's almost 9 months old and weighs about 23 pounds...she's a tiny little thing with a BIG personality!!
After her bowl was empty, Izzy wanted to get her more food. Too cute!
Ok, it seems like tonight's activities are starting to die out. They're both lying on the floor, panting heavily, but calm. Seems as though they finally wore each other out. At this moment, I couldn't be happier! Welcome home, Rosie!

She hasn't left Murphy alone since she got here. I'm not sure he knows WHAT to think!
That laceration has done NOTHING to slow her down :)
This was great to see....right away, drinking out of the same water bowl. NEVER thought I'd see that with Murphy but he's been SUCH a great dog! Even in the Humane Society, where there were so any temptations, he was incredible! Great job, Murphy!
Man, she's a cutie. Thought about renaming her, but I think her name fits. They told us that she was named that because the song was playing when she was brought in. I think it fits her perfectly.
Oh yeah...a little issue with Murphy's wubba. He's VERY possessive of his wubba, so I got Rosie one too.
And she's been fantastic with Izzy too! Look at this video of Izzy hand-feeding Rosie! After her bowl was empty, Izzy wanted to get her more food. Too cute!

My little Monkey....
(She's graduated from lilla loppan to lilla apan (Swedish for monkey). She's pretty clingy most times after work so that's where the monniker is coming from...plus she's starting to like to climb things...)
I love the fact that she's playing with Murphy now. Sometimes I don't necessarily feel like throwing that Wubba for the thousandth time :), but then Izzy comes over, picks it up and throws it to him (and she's pretty good!)
The girl LOVES her goldfish crackers, and there's hell to pay for the stupid parent that doesn't have them in their car when she's picked up from daycare (we've BOTH been guilty of this one and paid the price :)

Sidewalk chalk is a GREAT distraction from the tantrums...
