Izzy's first sleepover :)

Izzy had her first official sleepover 2 weeks ago, and (gasp!!!) it was with a boy!  Haahaahaa...just kiddin'...well, not really, I mean Cristian IS a boy...oh heck, just look at the photos and videos.  These two are so cute separately, so imagine the cuteness when they're together!!!  Almost.  Unbearable.

This was a particularly busy weekend.  Cristian's mami was enjoying a much-deserved girls night out, so we were lucky enough to get to watch Cristian.  Joacim's friend, Magnus, was visiting from Sweden on business, but came down and stayed with us Saturday night, AND I was photographing the Riley Cancer Survivor's celebration Saturday afternoon.  I can tell you that, by Sunday night, Joacim and I could barely speak from being so wiped out!

 I took the kids to the park while Joacim and Magnus visited the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

 Sadly, Magnus had to leave, but he got some little hugs before he went.

 Time for treats!  And that includes the doggies!

 Izzy absolutely loves Seyfert's BBQ chips (and so does Cristian now :)

 She took the bag, but was kind enough to share with him :)

 And the little guy was kind enough to mow our yard for us :)

 But how priceless is this face when he saw his Mami????

Playdate with Cristian

Izzy and Cristian had a playdate a couple of weeks ago while Liza and I had some sangria. I kinda like this arrangement :)

Izzy LOVES swingsets (yes, I feel guilty for not having one) and it was great to see her figuring out this climbing wall all by herself:

Oh dirty stinky feet!  But awesome...every kid should be able to run around barefoot and get all sorts of dirty in the summer, don't you think?

She's GREAT about making cheesy smiles now.  Is this what I have to look forward to in all of her future photos???

OMG...look at those BIG BROWN EYES!  I'm melting at the cuteness.

Some random photos to get caught up...

So, in an effort to try to catch up with everything, i figured I'd just post a bunch of random, entirely unrelated photos :)

I took some photos of my friend Liza's son, Cristian, a few weeks ago, and Izzy and Joacim tagged along. I don't know what it is, but I really like it when they're around for a photo session. Even if I'm not interacting with them, it's nice to know that they're nearby. And if they weren't nearby, I wouldn't have caught this cute Pappa/Izzy moment

This was after the shoot was over and the kids started playing together...cute!

Here she is getting into "stuff". She likes to open up Murphy's poo bags from the inside..essentially creating a long string of bags that are no longer in a roll, or a big mess. And she's sneaky about it....

We've been trying to break Izzy of the bottle habit, and it's not been easy. 5 months now, and she still won't drink cold milk out of a sippy at daycare (we've since given that one up!). But we did have a small breakthrough a week ago...here she is drinking milk (granted it's warm, but BABY STEPS!!!) out of a SIPPY CUP!!! Small victories like these need to be celebrated. And we've been able to keep up with it. I don't mind the morning bottle, because I think it's a nice, easy way to start our day, but I know she can't drink out of the bottle for forever :(

And here she is feeding herself in the morning. This is what we have to resort to when she wakes up earlier than usual. Luckily, she seems to enjoy the bean bag chair

Swimtime Sunday with Cristian!

So it was H.O.T. this weekend. I had run a bunch of errands on Saturday morning/afternoon, and then did a photo session in the evening with an unbelievably cute/adorable/active 15-month old, so by Sunday, I was spent. And I didn't want Izzy to have to get in her carseat at all, so we just hung out at the pool all day.

Here she was in the morning playing in her pool. I couldn't figure out what she was doing, until I realized that she was trying to make a slide out of the side of her pool! Very creative, my lilla loppan!

After her nap, it was time for a snack...yogurt


Then we got in the pool (or I should say SHE got in the pool...I dipped my feet in a few times ;) She played for awhile until Liza and Cristian came over. It took a while for Cristian to warm up to the idea of playing in the pool, but once that happened, I think they had a great time!

We had a great time! Looks like this weekend is going to be the same. Yay!!! More pool time!

Visit from Liza and Cristian....

We had some visitors this past Thursday....Liza and Cristian! Liza and I met at Lilly, where she also works, and this is her son Cristian, who is 3 1/2 months older than Izzyboo. Unfortunately, it was a weeknight so they weren't able to stay long, but we had some fun while they were here...

Liza is very good at playing with Izzy...warmed her up real quick!

Cristian now gives his mommy kisses...it's so cute and I'm so JEALOUS! Well, I at least have her making the kissing sound, so it's a start!

Izzy loves to give you the ball and then take it back and then give it to you again...this can go on for quite a while...
