A little sunset photo session with Izzy

We went on a little adventure last Friday night to try out a drive-in in a little town called Delano, which is about 40 minutes away.  The landscape out there is so very lovely....lots of hills, fields full of crops and farms dot the area.  We were driving home and I noticed how beautiful the lighting was, so when we got home, I convinced Izzy to go out with me so I could take some photos of her in the field behind our house:

There were about a gazillion little grasshoppers out there.  I didn't have the best lens with me to get a good photo of this little guy, but he was only a couple inches long.

I think she looks SO grown-up in this one....

This is a funny face...she's trying to convince me to take a photo of a "butterfly"

pointing out said butterfly

....that wasn't really a butterfly, but rather a scraggly moth.  No difference to Izzy...they're both magical to her ;)

And there were some beautiful grasses back there to photograph too.

I'm SO glad that she was willing to do this.  They're going to be building houses in this field eventually, but I woke up the next morning and the developer had trampled all of the grasses to mark the land for ponds and roads, so all of the loveliness is gone now, but remembered in photos....

My mini-session with Boo

Thank goodness she's still so willing to perform for my camera!  (btw..that's a red chewy Spree all over her face)

I told her to smile REAL big, and this is her idea of a really big smile (I think she's actually trying to smile with her whole body! So cute!)

Fall Fun

On Sunday, I did a family photo session with my friends Bryan and Margaret at their house. They live out in the country, and it's heavenly. The leaves were beautiful, and Margaret had always wanted photos of the family taken there, so that's what we did. Hopefully I'll be able to post some of those images here (ahhh....someday I'll get a blog set up for Lilla Loppan Photography.....maybe over Christmas :)

Joacim and Izzy tagged along, as we were planning on getting some firewood, and Margaret offered up their place to take some pics of Izzy too. Since I started Lilla Loppan Photography, I realized I've been a big negligent when it comes to taking seasonal/milestone photos of Izzy, and I didn't want to miss this fall, especially with how perfect the colors were. And Izzy had a phenomenal time playing in the leaves.

double ear infection and snow day and funny bath!!!

Izzyboo was feeling kinda puny on Sunday, so I stayed home with her on Monday and took her to the doctor, and found out she has a double-ear infection. Now, I'm glad she's the type of kid to just be a little fussy when she's sick...she likes to keep to herself. I guess it's not all that bad...i mean this is only her 2nd confirmed ear infection, so no worries yet.

And, as the trend goes...once Izzy gets sick, then I get sick. This time is no different. I woke up Tuesday morning with the all-too-familiar scratch, sore throat...followed by the nose that is so stuffed that if I were to be kidnapped and duct tape put over my mouth, I would die because not one single molecule of air can get through. I went to work anyway, and took Izzyboo to daycare, but it was an early day. The daycare called and let me know that Izzy wasn't feeling all that great, and we had a big snowstorm on the way, so I left work a little early so I could get her and beat the storm. And I'm so thankful I did!!! We ended up getting almost a foot of snow!!! Here are some photos...

I was then sick with the nasty cold on Wednesday, which is kinda good because there's no way I could've made it out of the garage and through the neighborhood. So, Izzy and I just hung out all day. We did have another little photo session...here are some cute shots:

This is one of my favorites..

And this one too...such a great little smile..

I found these photos too...had completely forgotten that I took them, but too cute not to show...

Izzy is also VERY close to crawling...she's getting close to being mobile, and she's starting to pull herself up on things, as you can see by the following evidence:

This photo is completely overexposed...but you get the idea...
