Catching up on some pics

This post has absolutely no central theme, I just want to make sure I get all of these photos in the blog for when I print it out later ;)

I love her sense of style

focused

She was super photographer's assistant!

And she's also a dork :)

She loves to do my hair sometimes

And it's always "interesting"

She's so lovely when she's sleeping

And she's almost always silly!  She is described by her teacher as being the class clown, and I can totally see why :)

The other night she was taking FOREVER to get out of the shower., and here's why.  Yes, she's asleep.

Chronically sleepy Grandpa

My dad is chronically sleepy.  Nearly narcoleptic sometimes....it's funny the positions he can fall asleep in, like right in the middle of surfing the internet.

Note the position of his hands?  Yep, he's TOTALLY out.  Completely unaware that I'm taking multiple photos of this while I'm laughing out loud.

At least he wasn't snoring......

Knocked out

She plays hard, and sleeps hard...

Scooter!

After dinner, I took Izzy's scooter outside so she could ride up and down the sidewalk, but in her excitement she fell down.  She's checking out her boo-boos here.

She gets pretty happy when she's outside, no matter what she's doing, but she had a special smile today on her scooter.
And this was her expression when I told her that we needed to go inside :)

And my little Loppan....sleeping peacefully

Cuteness from yesterday...

I think we got so lucky in the kitty department.  I mean, granted, Lemmy drives me batty sometimes with his claws and craziness, but I think it's great that he and Murphy can be this close now...

And here's little Boo....singing herself to sleep last night.  OMG...too cute

Izzy has a little buddy...

I was SOOO hoping this would happen sometime.  I was looking all over the house for Lemmy, and then I went into her room and saw this....

I can't hardly stand the cuteness.

random photos with my dream camera

I rented my dream camera this past weekend...here are a few shots for no particular reason whatsoever...
cute, but bored, black dog

I think it's so freaky when she sleeps with her eyes open like this....

Sleeping issues...

Izzy's been having issues sleeping, as anyone I talk to regularly will tell you. Or maybe I've already blogged about....I can't remember anymore. ANYway....she's essentially been sleeping in our bed since somewhere before Thanksgiving. She must've had a nightmare at some point, then she threw up in bed shortly after that, and she is terrified of it since.

It hasn't been worth the effort since then to try to get her back in bed. She'd start phyiscally shaking and shreiking whenever we went near it, so we decided to just get through this period and try when we were on vacation. Well, we're on vacation, and we're trying, but I can't really report "success" yet. We've had 2 of the last 3 nights where she's slept in bed until 6:30 or 7:30am (which is HUGE) but GETTING her to sleep is taking sometimes 1-2 hours. She's certainly used to falling asleep in our bed, and we've been trying to break that first by rocking her in her room. Unfortunately, our little Izzy is an incredibly light sleeper, and wakes up as soon as we get out of the rocking chair. But we aren't giving up. She's in her bed right now, snoring. Let's hope it stays that way tonight :)

How could something that looks this sweet be so......not.

Ahhh...I thought my nights filled with the sounds of a screeching child were over...little did I know that Izzy didn't quite realize this!

This was back on July 12-13, so forgive me for my tardiness...it's just that I still don't think I've caught back up on sleep since this night. I remember being able to pull all-nighters in college, work 3rd shift at Frito and not sleep and STILL go out on a Friday night. Man, those days are LONG GONE, my friend. I am OLD.

I don't even remember all of the details of this night...I only remember being awake from 2-5am...I watched a lot of TV, listened to a lot of screaming, got head-butted a few times by a very tired but determined toddler. You all know how much it hurts to have your chest thumped by the back of a kid's head...yeah, it was one of those nights. No idea why, and thankfully it didn't last, but it was PAINFUL, and made me thankful for every night she falls asleep.

I took these shots of her FINALLY SLEEPING in the morning. This was her final resting place before peaceful slumber...

And do you know what??? She woke up, happy as can be...of course, SHE got to take a 2 hour nap at daycare. I seriously think this is something that companies should think of supporting...on the job naptime!

New daycare and Izzy's schedule...

We started Izzy at a new daycare 3 weeks ago, and let me tell you, it's been a journey...a LONG, LONG, guilt-ridden journey filled with sleepless nights (for all of us), fits of terror from Izzy, and an overall questioning for me of, "is this how it's really supposed to be???".

Leaving her every day gets harder and harder. I know it's a phase..this whole separation anxiety thing, but it's hard. And it makes me feel so guilty every day when I'm walking out the door of the daycare hearing her scream. But it's just a phase..I know. Someone remind me of that when I'm having a bad morning, OK? Thanks!

Let's just say that Izzy's schedule has been a bit mixed up lately. That girl doesn't know her head from her butt :) when she comes home. She's grumpy, irritable, and generally not so fun to be around (hmmmmm..I'm thinking that the same words have been applied to me too :)...well, at least she gets it honestly, right? Can't fight genetics!)

Anyway, the other night during dinner, she fell asleep. That's right. Fell fast asleep in her high-chair..

And she hasn't exactly been easy to get to sleep either. She hasn't been getting her regular 2 naps, and this girl NEED 2 naps a day. Ahhhh....I remember a day not too long ago where we could give her a bottle, and then lay her gently down in her bed and she would drift off to sleep dreaming of sugar plum fairies and .......blah blah blah...WHERE DID THIS LITTLE GIRL GO???????? Not so much the case lately, as most of our nights are spent holding her while she squirms, laying her down in bed and listening to her scream as though someone were pulling her fingernails off, going in to check on her and feeling so guilty because of the pathetic look on her little face (yep, she's already figured us out :) that we pick her up and carry her back out here and hang out for a little while longer. Here's the result of one of those evenings last week:

I got so tired of her squirming and physically assaulting me that I just laid her down, and off to sleep she went.

Almost forgot this one. I just let her fall asleep on me and enjoyed my time holding her. In the end, not a bad way to end the day...

I am happy to report, however, that some changes have been made at the daycare based off of some of our feedback, and it looks as though things are turning around. We've had a few good days back-to-back, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we've turned the page on that nasty chapter and are on to better things...

Oh yeah, one great thing about this daycare, and for little Boo, is that she gets to do some crafts, which I LOVE bringing home at the end of the week! Mostly it's just painting stuff, but I don't care what it is, I LOVE it! Here are her latest masterpieces:

Izzy's 3-Month photos

Yippee!!! We just got Izzy's 3-Month photos, and they are wonderful!!! Brandy really captured Izzy again, and little Miss Izzy-boo wasn't exactly on her best behavior that day either! Check it out!

Izzy is starting to become more physically active as of late. Normally, we can put her in her bouncy seat and not have to strap her in, but that's not necessarily the case now. Here's a photo of Izzy nearly scooting out of her bouncy:

She is such a happy little girl in the morning. Lately, she's been waking up in her crib, and instead of crying, she just starts chatting away, patiently waiting until one of us comes to ger her. Here's a little video I took the other morning of her:

On Sunday, we watched the depressing Colts game. I even had Izzyboo in her Manning onesie, but it didn't work and the Colts ended up losing in the end.
Here's Izzy and Joacim hanging out before the game:

It's a nailbiter!

By the 3rd quarter, we needed a nap...

Izzy really enjoyed chewing on Pappa's finger:

Little Boo has been sleeping pretty well lately (I'm knocking on wood with one hand as I type that :) Anyway, here's a photo of her asleep before I put her to bed the other night. She's a pretty sound sleeper in this one!

And on to a totally random subject: toe fuzzies. I hate them. With a passion. Joacim is notorious for leaving these little black toe fuzzies all over the house during the week from his work socks, and it drives me crazy, and now it seems the problem has multiplied for me. Here's the evidence:
