This post has absolutely no central theme, I just want to make sure I get all of these photos in the blog for when I print it out later ;)

Random Izzy

I've been so far behind on this blog...sadly far behind. But with everything that's been going on lately (editing photos, design Christmas cards, Christmas shopping, work, grumpy Izzy, etcetera, etcetera) something had to give, and unfortunately it was this blog. Thankfully, I'M ON VACATION NOW :) So I'm hoping that I get back into the groove of regular posting. Heck, I've hardly even taken any photos this month of Izzy, so I've got some SERIOUS catching up to do!

Speaking of catching up, this is a video of Izzy that I took when we were in Cleveland OVER THANKSGIVING (see? told you I was far behind). Anyway, she's so happy and cute here...had to share

I told Izzy last weekend that I was going to take her to a movie. Of course, I forgot that she has no idea what "next week" means, so she bugged me about it ALL FREAKIN' DAY. (mental note...don't mention anything to her until RIGHT BEFORE it's time to go :). Here she is talking about the movie and how she wanted to bring her book to the movie

Feeling the weight of delinquency lifting...

I was up ridiculously late last night trying to catch up this blog.  Granted, I've still got tons of stuff from vacation, but I'm OK doing that when I get the chance.  It's been driving me batty that I've got all these videos and photos that I want to show off, but couldn't seem to find enough time to do it.  So, I suffered through the day today from little sleep, but felt MUCH better because I'm almost caught up, and I'd say that I'm completely caught up after this post, so please excuse the randomness...

We were at Babies R Us the other night to pick up some baby gates....not for Izzy, but for Rosie :)  Anyway, here she is running through the store with one show.  I don't condone this, but was pretty much powerless to stop it...

Oh, I almost forgot these.  Joacim came home from the grocery store on Saturday night and told me to go outside to take photos of the moon.  Well, I'm always up for a challenge, and the moon is one of my biggest, so I thought I'd give it a go.  When I went outside, though, I couldn't see it yet because it was so low in the sky, so I took a little drive out to the country to see if I could get some good ones...

and you can actually see craters here..so. cool.

This is actually a picture of the crappy retention pond behind our house.  Looks so much better in the moonlight, doesn't it?

Just because she's so damn cute

I think this was while Joacim was gone too.  We'd get home from work/daycare, and just play outside...

Some lazy weekends.....

We've been pretty low-key the last couple of weekends, spending a lot of time hanging out at home.  I just wanted a little downtime...it seems like it's been so busy lately, and weekends have been flying by...I needed them to slow down a bit :)

Here's Izzy taking some interest in the Dora doll she got for her birthday.  She spent a good part of the evening brushing Dora's hair.  Luckily, Dora's hair gets messy so fast that she was occupied most of the night 

She IS a good helper when it comes to shucking sweet corn!

Bubbles.  What kid doesn't like bubbles????  I raided Toys R Us's summer clearance sale the other night, stocking up on bubbles...

She wanted to sit on my lap during dinner, and then she started eating the corn off my plate, so I got another ear for her and we cut it off.  She was just so focused on it....

And a funny smile in the tub after dinner....

Joacim just told me that the apple tree that Izzy was swinging from in Sweden was blown down by a storm.  She'll be pretty disappointed when we go back and sees that it's not there anymore....good memories, though

Oh, I almost forgot these 2 videos....this one was taken on our morning walk with the dogs when Joacim was travelling to Canada a couple of weeks ago.

And then we went to the mall later that same day.  Izzy saw the jumpy trampoline thing and wanted to try it, so I let her....

yeah, maybe next time, kiddo!  But I'm proud of her for trying!

And when Joacim got home, we went out to eat dinner.  Izzy wanted to wear her clogs....she's getting MUCH better at walking in them now

Oh my...she's such a little GIRL now....no longer my baby....sad and happy at the same time.....

More randomness (ok, playing catch-up again! :)

I may not be able to live in the country, but at least now I get to enjoy a tiny little benefit of it..

Will she ever eat anything other than yogurt?????

By that expression...I'm guessing it's gonna be a struggle :)

These next few are pretty funny.  I had tried rollerblading earlier, and when I got back in the house, I took my socks off.  Izzy then decided that they'd make great legwarmers for her...

And, of course, what outfit would be complete without her favorite hat

She's getting pretty interested in the front seat of cars now...a window 14 years into the future...

JOACIM FOUND A SONIC!!!  It's 20 minutes away, but totally worth it, so we went there a couple of Sunday's ago for dinner.  Izzy had a corn dog (yes, a diversion from yogurt :)

I got her a dish of vanilla ice cream, but this looks like WAY more than a "dish"

We went to some friend's house this past weekend to play poker (well, Joacim played poker...I played with these two cuties).  It was fun watching them play together...

and argue over what was "MINE"!!!

 

Some randomness..

These last few weeks have been hectic.  With trying to get back in the swing of things at work, and trying to catch up on the vacation blog, and working on volunteer events, and trying to get my photography business moving forward, it seems as though life is screaming by lately.  I haven't been able to pick up my camera as much as I'd like either..heck, I hardly have ANY photos of Cracklin' Rosie!  But here are a few phots that I've taken in the last week...

This is how Izzy came home from daycare the other day.  I have no idea how she was able to sit still on Christina's lap this, but I'm glad she did, because it's adorable!

I think this face is funny.  I was standing inside and she was outside when I took this...clearly, she wasn't happy about the situation.

She took a liking to Rosie's crate last week...crawled right in with Rosie and closed the door.  We were just worried that Murphy was going to try to get in there too!

They had a luau at her daycare last Friday.  I didn't have anything particular for the occasion, so I just put Izzy in the brightest thing she has, and I was curious if she'd wear this headband or not.  She kept in on for 5 minutes, but then was done with it, but I had Joacim take it to daycare just in case :)

And she came home wearing it!  Wooo Hooo!  Victory for mamma!  We went out for sushi that night, and she wore it the entire evening...

I'm not sure if you can tell or not, but Murphy is laying ON Rosie, completely covering here...and she doesn't seem to mind at all...such a good dog!

Ahhh!  I FINALLY got to be a biker bitch!  We went to get a helmet for me last week, and was fortunate that my friend Liza wanted to keep Izzy overnight, so everything worked out.  It was going to be a date night, but I forgot how tired you can get from riding!  It was a lot of fun, but I gotta get some better sunglasses....these things kept lifting up whenever I'd turn my head, so I spent a lot of time squinting because of the wind.  That part wasn't so great, but everything else was :)

Sometimes, this is where we find her when she's doesn't answer our calls....
