Catching up on some pics

This post has absolutely no central theme, I just want to make sure I get all of these photos in the blog for when I print it out later ;)

I love her sense of style

focused

She was super photographer's assistant!

And she's also a dork :)

She loves to do my hair sometimes

And it's always "interesting"

She's so lovely when she's sleeping

And she's almost always silly!  She is described by her teacher as being the class clown, and I can totally see why :)

The other night she was taking FOREVER to get out of the shower., and here's why.  Yes, she's asleep.

Hoarfrost

A beautiful phenomenon here is hoarfrost.  I'm sure we had it back in Indiana too, but not to the extent that I've seen it here.  Anyway, one Saturday morning I woke up, looked outside, and then grabbed my camera and Izzy and went for a little drive.  You just can't pass up an opportunity like this :)

This is how I embrace winter....I photograph it :)

A couple of snowy photos

We went on a little drive Saturday to see if we could get any good photos. Unfortunately, we left about a 1/2 hour too late :( But I did manage to get a couple of neat ones (well, at least I think they're neat)

I actually took this one on Sunday morning on my walk with Murphy....so serene...

Hopefully I'll get to go out tomorrow sometime and take some more....gotta get 'em while the snow is fresh!

Some random photos to get caught up...

So, in an effort to try to catch up with everything, i figured I'd just post a bunch of random, entirely unrelated photos :)

I took some photos of my friend Liza's son, Cristian, a few weeks ago, and Izzy and Joacim tagged along. I don't know what it is, but I really like it when they're around for a photo session. Even if I'm not interacting with them, it's nice to know that they're nearby. And if they weren't nearby, I wouldn't have caught this cute Pappa/Izzy moment
From The Trunk's Junk
This was after the shoot was over and the kids started playing together...cute!

Here she is getting into "stuff". She likes to open up Murphy's poo bags from the inside..essentially creating a long string of bags that are no longer in a roll, or a big mess. And she's sneaky about it....

Isn't this the most pathetic face ever...the AGONY.....

We've been trying to break Izzy of the bottle habit, and it's not been easy. 5 months now, and she still won't drink cold milk out of a sippy at daycare (we've since given that one up!). But we did have a small breakthrough a week ago...here she is drinking milk (granted it's warm, but BABY STEPS!!!) out of a SIPPY CUP!!! Small victories like these need to be celebrated. And we've been able to keep up with it. I don't mind the morning bottle, because I think it's a nice, easy way to start our day, but I know she can't drink out of the bottle for forever :(

And here she is feeding herself in the morning. This is what we have to resort to when she wakes up earlier than usual. Luckily, she seems to enjoy the bean bag chair

Some photo shares....

Some nighttime snuggle with Pappa

We stopped by the playground on our morning walk with Murphy...

But the playground isn't all it's cracked up to be for her, so we went to the swings...

She's becoming VERY interested in the computers lately, so whenever I'm the office, I'm doing whatever I can figure out to distract her. On this day, it was letting her play with a spare keyboard that I had...she looks like she's guilty of something though, doesn't she?

She's been very good about brushing her teeth..up until the last week or so, so the other day I decided to just give her the toothbrush and see what she'd do...and here are the results:

I got a Pilates reformer to help with the physical changes during this course of steroids. It was finally delivered a couple of weeks ago, and Izzy kinda like it too!

And here's one VERY tired lilla loppan

Karma is not my friend

We were supposed to get Izzy's 1-year pictures taken today. Mind you that this is the 3rd time I've been able to say that so far, and alas...still no photos.

The first time (2 Saturday's ago) it was very cool and WINDY (not good for photos). Also, she had a stye in her eye...:(

The second time (this past Saturday) it was, again, cool and breezy, but this time it was also wet, as it rained mercilessly (is that even a word???) last week.

So, we rescheduled for today. I dropped Izzy off at daycare, told them how critically important it was for her to get TWO naps because she had pictures tonight and I didn't want her to be too tired. Soooo...imagine the dismay I felt at KARMA when I got a call from the daycare director and the first thing she said was, "Izzy had a little accident and slipped and hit her face on the table."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......

That's what I said in return.

I had Joacim run over there during lunch to see, and he sent me a couple of photos, but I couldn't really tell, but when I picked her up this afternoon, I knew that the photos were a no-go for this evening. To make matters worse, our photographer is 38 weeks pregnant with her 3rd child, so I totally feel like I'm tempting fate at this point, but what can you do???

We're hoping the swelling goes down in a couple of days (and the bruising lessens) so we can try it again on Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Doesn't look too bad in this photos, but they were taken earlier in the evening. It's a nice shade of purple now...

20-week Ultrasound!!!

Alright, so I've been saying that I'm going to start this blog at some point, so I guess that's now. I've just been waiting for something good to start off with, and I finally have it. We just got back from our 20 week ultrasound, and have photos to share with all!!!!!!!!!
We went to a high-risk OB/GYN due to my kidney disease, more for a precautionary measures than anything else. Unfortunately, while we were in the waiting room, a fairly young girl came out crying, and said, "I guess that's why they wanted to see me so soon....my baby has Down Syndrome". Well, both Joacim and I were a little freaked out by that, and I just felt so bad for her. I mean, we were there for a happy event, and I knew that, no matter what any blood tests have said, that we would be at a high-risk OB at this point anyway.

Luckily, everything with this little Trunk is great! The baby weighs 11 oz right now, and was pretty active durimg the ultrasound. It was incredible to see his/her little arm move up and down. We stuck with our decision to not find out the sex of the baby, and I'm really glad we did!!! It will be such a great surprise for us!!!
Anyway, enough of my babbling...on with the photos!!!!

Here's one of the baby with his/her left arm up by his/her head:

After the ultrasound was done, I was asking the technician if the machine could do the high-resolution photos as well, and she said that it could. She then offered to do one for us since we were the last patient of the day. Now granted, it's a bit difficult to make anything out since the baby wasn't laying in the correct position, but here's a little glimpse:

I have more photos, but most of them are like looking at hieroglyphics. Just wanted to share the good news with everyone and start this thing off right!!!
