Christmas baking

I volunteered to host a Christmas cookie/candy/bun making party at our house since our kitchen is relatively large (and because I'm lazy and don't want to go anywhere most of the time ;)  We had Christmas movies playing on the TV, and Christmas music on the stereo....

Izzy was quite happy to help
I'd say it was an "organized chaos"
Izzy decided she didn't want to help anymore and would rather watch  movies
Here's Katie making chocolate covered pretzels
And Laura decorating her spritz cookies
Caroline and Lyndsey wanted to make caramels
Izzy and baby Henning played well together too....he was a big fan of the block
my contribution...buckeyes
and here's where the guys spent the day
yup....you guessed it....watching football
Caroline also made Lucia buns, which are traditional Swedish breads at Chistmas
they require a lot of hands-on time, but they're worth it
we took a break to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas

We had only planned on a few hours, but everyone ended up staying all day, so we ordered pizza
then back to the buns...
Lyndsey's adding raisins here

I'd say it was a pretty successful baking extravaganza.  I wish I would've taken photos of what everyone made, but I just never got around to it, but trust me when I say it was all YUMMY!
