Izzy starts school tomorrow, so I took today off of work so we could have a day filled with fun things for her. I had planned on taking her to Lifetime fitness to go swimming in the outdoor pool, but I apparently didn't get the memo because they CLOSED the pool after Labor Day. Seriously??? It's nearly 90 degrees still!!! Of course, this didn't dampen her spirits....she just wanted to go into the indoor pool, which we did. There were only a couple of other people in the entire pool, and I think she got a little bored. It was FREEZING cold too, and I got yelled at when I tried to take a video of her (meanies), so I "convinced" her that she'd rather go home and play on the SLIP 'N'SLIDE!!!! And honestly, by the look of her face in these pictures, I think I was right ;)

Question: How do you stay cool in this heat???
Answer: SLIP 'N SLIDE!!!!
Man, I loved these when I was a kid. Is it me, or do they seem so much smaller than they did when we were little? :) Maybe it's the fact that Bri is so tall that she doesn't really seem to slide very far before she's at the end.

We get this face a lot lately :(
I love her smile here :)
I think this is such a great picture. To see how these two interact is AWESOME, and this photo really captures it!
Izzy eventually went on the slip n slide, but here were the results :)

Slip 'n Slide.......
Last Thursday evening we were invited over to our friends Ryan and Anissa's house for dinner. I knew there would be other kids there, so I took my camera to get in some "practice" :)
Izzy found this chair and fell in love! I think she sat it in for a solid 1/2 hour. Every time we tried to get her out she threw a fit!

This is Willie..possibly the cutest little bugger I've ever seen, and the most well-behaved lab puppy! He's "renting" Murphy's crate right now :) Can't wait till they can meet and play.

This is Rogan, Ryan and Anissa's son. Initially, he wasn't too thrilled with the idea of everyone playing with his toys...

Here's little Miss Thang....can't you see this pose and bored look in about 15 years???

Ice cream makes EVERYTHING better!

My little girl never met a stranger, and she seemed particularly fond of Ryan this evening. Why is it that little girls gravitate toward men? Is it the feeling of security?

Here's a bunch of slip and slide photos from after dinner. Look at their faces...the VERY DEFINITION of bliss...

And here's Izzy wanting in on the action

Not sure what she's trying to do here, but the look of concentration on her face is priceless...
