Office Redux Part 3 - Finished Product

I LOVE LOVE LOVE our new office....I feel such a sense of calm when I walk in there, and I can't WAIT for my class to start now...

Office Redux Part 2 - Assembly

Sadly enough, I can't even remember what we did when we got home Friday evening...I just know that we were all VERY tired :)

But Joacim got to work at a good time on Saturday, and he was able to assemble EVERYTHING!  Which, I think, was amazing.

 She and Murphy were so very helpful

 Mustn't forget Lemmy's helpfulness either

 And once it was all done, we had to organize...again...LOTS of help from the little ones

 

Office Redux Part 1 - Trip to Ikea

I'm starting an online photography class tomorrow, but the state of our office wasn't really conducive to it.  I swear, receipts would magically multiply in there, with no organization whatsoever, so Joacim and I decided to re-do the office.  We had already started on one side, but I wanted to complete everything before my class started, so we headed off to Ikea last Friday for some serious, but planned, shopping!

In order to occupy her while we were looking for things in the warehouse, we gave her a pencil and she went to work

It wasn't ALL work though :)

It had started to rain, so I put her in the front seat of Joacim's car and she ate goldfish crackers....She looks pretty happy up there :)

Re-doing office...

After Christmas we went back to Ikea because I apparently hadn't correctly purchased all of Izzy's kitchen the first time (I forgot the upper part that included the microwave), and no way was my little girl NOT gonna have her kitchen, so we headed down there again last Wednesday.
I had originally wanted to "re-do" the office over Christmas, but with the biopsy and everything, we decided not to tackle it, but we DID think we could make a few improvements to start off with. We bought some cabinets to hang on the wall and some free-standing cabinets to replace the messy shelves we had in there. And of course, with Ikea furniture, this required assembly, which Izzy was only too happy to help with. She was very curious about the paper inserts that were in the box with the drill.

She's starting to climb a lot more now, and I think she was excited that she could get up on the cabinet all by herself...



A little downtime with her magna doodle (this, by the way, was a fantastic gift my moi....going to come in handy on the trip to Sweden this summer!)\

And I just realized that I don't have finished pictures of our work...maybe tomorrow I'll get that done!
