Mug 'n Bun - my new favorite place!!!

I have wanted to try this place out for a long time! I had done a search a while back on where to get the best Indiana tenderloin sandwich, and this place got high marks. We ended up going there on Friday night after our trip to the doggie dermatologist, and it did NOT disappoint! :)

First of all, let me just say that I LOVE places like this where you drive up and they come to your car to take and deliver your order. There's on in Lafayette called Dog 'n Suds, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE going there! Joacim does too! Best damn corn dogs..hands down! But, since that's so far away, I think Mug 'n Bun is going to satisfy me quite nicely in between trips to Lafayette!
This is the 2nd half of my fantastic tenderloin...omg...sooooooooo tasty...

and I LOVE crinkle cut fries! Why do all restaurants server those crappy shoestring fries (except Wendy's and Arby's, I guess)?????

Here's Izzy eating her corndog...and can I mention that she at the ENTIRE thing!!!! 2 days in a row of her eating!! If I didn't have visual proof I wouldn't believe it!

FINALLY!!! A day nice enough to go outside!!!!

OMG...I've been waiting for a day like this for what seems like FOREVER!!! It was finally nice enough on Thursday for us to go outside when we got home for work/daycare. She and Murphy love love love to be outside, but we haven't had much of a chance lately (especially since she hates the snow).

If you look closely you'll see Murphy catching the frisbee in the background. He's really great!!
She may be a fashion catastrophe, but she's MY little fashion catastrophe....

And here's the other fantastic thing about this day...she at TWO WHOLE PIECES OF PIZZA!!!!! I didn't feel like cooking, so I ordered a pizza from Noble Romans, and she loved it!!! OMG...can't hardly contain my excitement!!!

And here's what she looked like after the pizza :)

More snow from last week

We had more snow last week, and I worked from home because, as I mentioned before, I don't feel like taking my life in my hands by driving with all of the other crazies. Soooo...Izzy and I stayed home. Now granted, I didn't get a whole lot of work done while she was awake, which isn't too surprising, but I managed to get some done. I took the next day off due to my kidney thing, but ended up working the entire day anyway, so I figure it all balanced itself out. Besides, Izzy's had this profuse drainage from her ears for the past week and a half, so I figure any day she's not at daycare is a day for her to heal a little more.
Can you see how the drainage has matted her hair?

but she doesn't seem to mind much..still a happy girl

We watched Ice Age

and read A LOT of books

and had some fruit puree

and some ravioli (her she's telling me that she's getting a little low on the ravioli and that I need to get more)

Since we have all of this snow, we decided to take her out on her new sled that we got her. We pretty much figured that it wasn't goint to go too well, since we know she's not a huge fan of snow

We got a few small smiles out of her, but they were short-lived

And I am no longer her favorite person

Murphy likes the snow WAYYYY more than Izzy does...

Feeding herself yogurt......

Izzy didn't eat much for dinner tonight (and she was being a little pistol anyway...throwing food and what not), so I took it all away from her and finished my meal (yes, I'm an awful mother). After she calmed down, I showed her the yogurt and asked her if she wanted it, which she signed that she did, so I handed it to her with the foil seal still on. I wanted to see if she could figure out how to open it, and yep, sure enough she can:) Since she was already a mess, I decided to give her a spoon and see what happens......
Not too bad so far...

Good form

She's utilizing the butter-churn method here. She sticks the spoon in the yogurt and churns it like butter, then crams it into her mouth

And she seems to be enjoying it

Do you see how big her mouth is in the background???????? I should send this picture into Stonyfield...great marketing

Apparently the spoon wasn't enough and she needed to use her hand

I'm not sure if she was getting ready to lick the container here or what

Looks innocent, but they do say that looks can be deceiving...:)

See??? She looks a bit devlish here, don't you think?

No idea what this expression means...could be that the vitamin she was chewing on here was a bit tart. Who knows?

Clearly she's spent from this experience

Then I asked her to start showing me her faces...I like the smile best

Even better when there's a giggle thrown in there

and more better

But this is the one she reserves for me most times :) Ahhh, how's she gonna look at me when she's a tween????????

Random videos

In an effort to catch up......
Here's Joacim on his motorcycle....looking GOOD!!!

Here's Izzyboo eating with a fork...like it's something she's done every day. It's not that she couldn't do it...I just never remembered to give it to her!

My work had a sort of open house a couple of weekends ago. The weather was great, so after all of the touring and lunch, we headed over to the park for some playground time.

And here's Izzy cracking herself up. She was in such a quirky little mood that evening...makes me crack up watching it.

Just some random photos over the past week...

I really don't have too much to update. I can't honestly figure out what we've been doing...doesn't seem like much when I look at the photos, but why the HECK am I so worn out all the time? :)

Izzy using Joacim as a jungle gym....again

We finally got Izzy a bike seat. We've been wanting to for awhile, but we were out at dinner last Friday right by the bike shop so we stopped in after and picked one up. We love riding our bikes (although you're kinda taking your life into your hands around here...damn Southside drivers!) and it's a great way for Murphy to get a good run in too!
Surprisingly enough, Izzy didn't mind the helmet at all. This one surprised me because she seems to hate everything else on her head. I blame it on the fact that Joacim didn't want me to "girl her up" when she was younger, so I never put headbands or hats on her...NOW I'm paying the price! But she is, really, absolutely TOO CUTE in her little rabbit hat!

Now we just need to get a bike rack for the car so we can GO somewhere and ride.
Here she is Skyping with Farmor and Farfar on Sunday. She seems to have gotten a bit lazy when it comes to feeding herself, don't you think? She's eating a blueberry, btw..

Joacim and her were having a good laugh the other evening in her room...

And here she is eating all of my tomatoes. The girl LOVES tomatoes, which is AWESOME!! What I can't figure out is HOW ON EARTH CAN SHE NOT LIKE MASHED POTATOES???? Seriously, is this my child???? I don't get it...but at least she likes tomatoes. I consider it a small victory in the battle of eating :)

Have a great day!

Randomness part ????

here are just some random photos...

This is Izzy and my friend Rebecca at the Baby & Toddler expo on Saturday.

Here we are at The Oaken Barrel on Saturday evening. It was so great to be able to sit outside and dine, and I think Izzy liked it too. And she ate TABLE FOOD...YIPPEE!!! we're making progress...

She looks great in her Pappa's shades...

And yes, she has no found the food storage cabinet. At least it keeps her occupied :)
