She still wasn't much better this morning, so we kept her home again and I stayed with her. I was able to get some work done before she woke up, and then periodically throughout the day, but not nearly as much as I wanted to. Not even "Tangled" was occupying her....she just wanted her Mooooooommmmmmmmyyyyyy. We had to go to the post office and the grocery store too, so it was nice to get a little fresh air on this lovely day.
And the best news of all is that one of my very best friends, Holly, and her husband Mick and baby Augie are coming for a visit!!!! For those of you that read this that don't know, Holly has been a friend of mine since 3rd grade. She was the first person that was nice to me when I moved to a new school, and we've been friends ever since. She lives in Australia now, so I only get to see her once a year, when she comes back home to visit family (eventually I'm gonna HAVE to make that long flight). When she was here last year, she was pregnant with her first baby, which she had in December, so this is the first time I get to meet him in person too. And I LOVE her husband. Isn't it fantastic when you enjoy your friend's significant others as much as you enjoy your friends?
I'm picking them up from the airport and they're coming back here to spend the night before I drive them up to her Dad's on Thursday. It's not much time, but I'll take any time I can get.
I spent a good portion of this evening getting everything ready for dinner so I don't have to deal with it tomorrow...we're having a Greek dinner.....marinated chicken and veggies, homemade hummus and tzatziki and Greek salad with homemade Greek dressing. No idea why I picked the Greek theme, other than I LOVE it and it's easy. By getting all this ready tonight, I can spend more time catching up with them tomorrow. I'm SUPER excited to see them!!!!

I'm all about new recipes - mind sharing your chicken recipe? :)
I love visiting with friends. Most of them point out now that I am the one that left them, not the other way around. Ugh.
My in-laws are on their six week journey in Australia right now! They retired last summer from teaching/school nursing so they finally had the time and the money.
