We are very fortunate to have a great little park here in development. We've spent quite a bit of time there, but I don't often take my camera. On this particular day, I'm glad I did because I really think I captured Izzy's spirit :)

A few videos of what we've been up to lately....
Here's Izzy chatting in the tub:
I was telling my friends the other day about the sheer desperation on Izzy's face when it comes to her wanting you to read her a book. Here's evidence that I wasn't exaggerating...just watch the first part and you'll understand :) And it's like this EVERY time with EVERY book. I'm all about fostering a love of reading, but I swear I'll go crazy if I have to read another animal book.
Since we had the absolutely worst night ever last night (I won't bore you with details, but 5 hours of whining/crying sums it up), and because I just couldn't read ANOTHER ANIMAL BOOK, I decided to take Izzy to the park in the neighborhood across the street from us. Every time we walk by there we have Murphy and don't stop, so it was a good opportunity for her to play a bit.
Here she is going down the slide all by herself:
And to end off with the BEST giggle ever....truly.

Radio Flyer
On Saturday, she was again, not a very happy little girl. We had decided to get her a Radio Flyer wagon, because she's been hating her stroller lately, and we figured this would make it more fun for her. So, when she got up from her nap, we decided to go to Southeastway Park for a little walk. She tolerated the wagon pretty well in the beginning, but then quickly withered. I'm thinking now that she was probably hungry, and that her fruit snacks just weren't tiding her over. I swear we feed this girl...she just doesn't eat much of it at the time and winds up being hungrier faster than we think (at least that's the latest theory floating around here...if you'e got any others I'd be THRILLED to hear them).
When we got there, we headed over to the playground area to see if she'd be interested. There were a lot of kids, but we managed to get in some runs on the slide:

AFter the slide, we headed out for our walk and everything is nice and peaceful...

And a video...
Here she is playing with the rocks on the pavement walkway. She's actually trying to pick the rocks that are embedded in the asphalt...this girl LOVES herself some rocks!
I don't have a video of her melting down because it just wasn't fun. Needless to say she ended up taking a quick nap on the way home...guess that's what she needed!

Visit to the park and a mozzarella stick
Last Friday night, we decided to get some food and have a picnic at a local park. Once we arrived at the park, we set out a blanket and started eating. Izzy was sitting on my lap, and I was trying to feed her pieces of my hamburger.

I had also ordered mozzarella sticks (I know...so bad but so gooooooood). Anyway, I gave her a few pieces of cheese, and she seemed to really like it.

Well, all of a sudden, I looked down and she had bogarted an entire stick and was chewing away! And let me tell you..it does NOT look pretty coming out the next day...I'm a Bad Mommy!!!

Here's a cute one...
